PROGRAM MANAGER

We have partnered with a wonderful organization that supports various workforce programs throughout Northern Nevada. They’re seeking a program Manager to add to their wonderful team.
The program Manager will be part of a collaborative team where you will work closely with the CEO, partners, and stakeholders to develop and/or enhance programs/processes for the organization and community.

What the Program Manager will do:

• Provides specialized business services; conducts employer outreach activities
• Responsible for compliance with varied program operations and reporting requirements; conducts analysis of program performance; serves as company Equal
• Employment Opportunity and Grievance Officer
• Responsible for development and writing of the local workforce investment plan; development and implementation of programmatic policies and procedures; and interpreting and disseminating to all interested parties as needed.
• Oversees activities of the organization’s programs, including subrecipient and contractor program management systems for delivery of services, maintenance of records and validity of reports to ensure compliance with contract requirements; provides technical assistance and training for staff and contractors on specialized requirements of all
• program contracts.
• Responsible for the development and writing of requests for proposals and solicitation for services issued by the organization.
• Provides oversight of the performance management system; conducts evaluation and analysis of program data and statistical information; and prepares various management reports on performance outcomes, effectiveness, and efficiency.
• Represents the company on various community and State committees and boards as assigned by the CEO.

What the Program Manager will need to have:

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, business, social science, project management or related field; and four (4) years of experience, two (2) of which are at a management or supervisory level. Experience shall preferably include work with public agencies and responsibility in a management capacity requiring interaction with the business community.
• Proficiency in word processing and competence in computer operations required. Possession of a valid and current State of Nevada Driver's License.
• Travel and use of personal vehicle will be required.
• Knowledge of practices and techniques of research, information analysis, and report preparation; Workforce Investment Act laws, rules, policies, and regulations affecting program operations; record keeping and records management techniques; computer systems and software applicable to the operations and management information requirements of the company; supervision, training, and employee evaluation.
• Ability to plan, organize, direct, and manage the programmatic functions of the organization provide supervision, training, and work evaluation for assigned staff; manage contracts and grants; research, compile, and summarize a variety of informational materials; perform analysis; interpret, apply, and explain complex policies, regulations, and procedures.
